well the weekend was very interesting. on friday, i was exhausted and ended up not getting together with sandra for dinner. i feel horrible for not making it to la jolla but seriously needed the rest. i did end up going to sarah's toy party and bought some very interesting new toys. i got way too little sleep on fri night and crashed over at gunn's after leaving brandon and sarah's. he was kind to let me crash on his couch considering he is 5 mins away from iron mtn and i am 35 mins away!!
so, saturday morning came WAY too early and was cold and foggy. we had to wait around a bit for the fog to lift so that it'd be safer for us to ride so that cars could see us. so we waited a half hour and then went for our run first. it was freezing so i just ran in my pj pants and got them filthy! the run was good and then we got ready to ride. i rode with the filpi's and jesse and becky and jim. becky and i were dead on the ride. i seriously looked down at my bike at the beginning of the ride to figure out what was wrong with it - turns out there was something wrong with my legs instead of my beautiful bike!! i was literally fighting with my bike and the road for the first 10 miles and they won. i gave up the ride before hitting the mtn cause i didn't want to injure myself. there's no point when i've tackled that hill before and won. so, i'll have to make it up another time!
we trekked off to breakfast/lunch and went to the miami grille in poway. it took our bartender FOREVER to get our food and drinks etc. and of course there were too many drinks and too much food but we managed to pack it all away like the good triathletes we are :0) it took two and a half hours all told but we eventually got out of there. i headed home to shower and go to elaine's to help with the kids etc. was exhausted when i got there which wasn't the best of ideas but i managed through the evening!
so we got the kids ready for church after their snack and packed them up for laurie to pick them up. they headed off and elaine and i set about the task of figuring out how to get her bathed! we had to wrap up her arm so that no water got into it from the neck down to her hand. we got her all bathed and in clean clothes and had just put something for the kids to eat together when they got home. we fed them, put them to bed, and then watched v for vendetta. we got ready for bed and stayed up forever talking. i was so tired that around 12:30 or 1 i passed out on elaine talking and she was up til oz came into the room with a coughing fit. she got him some cough drops and kids cold medicine and he ended up going to sleep around 3. no clue when elaine finally passed out but i was constantly kicked by oz the rest of the night cause he'd decided to sleep diagonally. i got little/no sleep that night.
so in the morning elaine was grumpy and tired and needed to sleep throughout the day. she didn't really wake up til dinner time. we got the kids a small breakfast and then i got a call from denden that he needed to go to urgent care. the poor guy was ridiculously sick and we spent the next 4 hours getting him into see someone that could prescribe something to knock him out. he was all shaky and trembling and hot/cold and just miserable. i felt horrible for him and didn't want to leave him at the clinic.
so i got him home and back to elaines around noon and in time to make the kids some lunch. aurora talked me into playing with her and oz and i wanted to give elaine all the time she could get to nap. we played for a bit and then we watched two movies and about then elaine woke up for snack time. we had some snacks, elaine went back to bed, and the kids and i cleaned up their room. and i mean that we really cleaned! i made them dig under their beds even :0) yes, i am just that mean!!
after elaine woke up, we got dinner together, put the kids in the bath, and sat down for a nice long conversation. eventually got the kids out of the bath and into bed and talked some more. it got so late that i stayed last night. woke up WAY too early this morning to get the kids ready to go to school and elaine ready for the day. we got her all showered up and got the patio all cleaned up and did a little work. she's napping now and i'm taking a break from mattel while i attempt to figure out what could be wrong with the permissions on two of their groups.
tonight, i WILL go home and take a long hot bubble bath and go to bed early and get to sleep in my own bed :0) i'm really excited about sleep at this point!! i wish i could get in a good workout today but i know i'd just trip over myself cause i'm so tired!! ok, i'm done rambling and think i have another idea of something to test. gotta run
