last night i went and did my core exercises and a half hour on the elipse machine to get my legs working again from carlsbad half. all in all a decent workout. tonight: spin for an hourish and then swim for an hourish! i'm really looking forward to spin and swim tonight since i haven't been able to make it to many swim practices (yes, i'm a HORRIBLE mentor this season).
my stupid job is just so unpredictable! ok so my job isn't stupid and i actually like what i do but it IS unpredictable! my current client (mattel) hasn't been able to give me a definite date that they will give their signoff for my configuration nor have they settled on a date for me to actually do the install in el segundo. so, they keep changing dates on me and i keep going up there for meetings for absolutely no purpose and they keep changing their minds about views, field definitions, etc. VERY frustrating!!
anyway, so i brought my bike in today and it's like show and tell in the office! very amusing if i do say so......some have asked questions, some have picked it up, others just walk in and look at it and walk away.....you'd think these people had never seen a bike before!! i must admit though that it is a GORGEOUS piece of work :0)
long story short, i ended up going to dinner with my friend paula last night. haven't gotten a chance to really hang out with her in MONTHS so it was great to catch up. we talked over relationships, friendships, updates on things going on in life, joked around, etc, etc, etc and it was awesome! i've really missed my conversations with her. and i'm very glad that we did make the time to catch up. and i do hope that we'll make more time in the future.
it kept reminding me of a fwd that i received not too long ago from someone and that i did pass along. here's how it went: God determines who walks into your life....it's up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go. and i thought to myself about the people in my life that i have let go and those that i haven't. there are some that i don't talk to often but remain close to (kavi, becky, winkle, katie, sarah, and i could go on) and those that i talk with often and are absolutely blessed to have in my life (michele, brian, sandra, ryan, and i could go on) and there are those and i don't talk to often that i miss and that i'm ecstatic when i do get the chance to catch up(paula, diane, jess, paul, buddy, megs, katie b, alana, and i could go on). so, if you are reading this, then i'm thrilled and blessed to have YOU in my life. i love you all!
